| I know I haven't updated in a while... but I am due to a very special request from my best friend, whom I miss very much!! I really wish I could see her and spend just an hour with her!! She's pretty much amazing...
I had a presentation today, but not only a presentation, a whole engish project due. Just so we're clear on how har this was, I know SENIORS who haven't had to do a project like we had to, yeah... CRAZINESS!! I spent from 10am-5pm working on it yesterday, and then again last night/this morning from 11pm-1.30am... I am exhausted, but glad it's over.
I'll tell you one thing... the Lord is my strength and my rock and my refuge. He is the only thing that keeps me going everyday and getting up every morning.... He is amazing!! And you know what?? Indulging yourself in the pleasures of this world is not worth it! They will all come to nothing! So why do them? Don't you think that doing something with the Creator of the universe will be more fun than going to a club? Plus, it's not worth the risk of ruining your witness... that's something I have recently learned. I just finished reading James and am now trying to decide which book to read next. I am thinking of reading Esther... I hear it's a good book.... but James was amazing... especially James 1:12:
"Blessed is the man who perserveres under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will recieve the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him."

He does, and He's forgiven me and I want to live my life for my Father!! I want to shout it from the mountaintops that Jesus is MY Lord and Savior!! He died for ME!!!! | I don't know if anyone actually reads my posts, or if they are just lost in cyberspace as soon as I post, but I post anyways for maybe the one person who keeps up with my life.
You know what I'm tired of? People saying, "Let's go out there and start a revolution!" and then never doing a dang thing about it! If you want to start a revolution, then for God's sake (literally!) GO DO IT!! What's stopping you?? Do you want to see your friends in Heaven? I know I want to see mine! How about your family?? Yep, I'll want to see them to! So why, then, do we not go out there where the battle is raging (coz the battle isn't raging inside your church or your Christian group of friends or your Christian campus) and tell people about the man who SAVED YOUR LIFE!! I mean, isn't that something to SCREAM about?? | | |
| Okay, so I have been really worried about classes (namely Latin) and all the homework and stuff, but I don't think it's going to be that bad, acutally.
Kinda on that same subject, you know what is the BEST stress reliever?? PRAYING!! On a survey my RA asked me what my favorite way to relieve stress is and that's what I said. Have you ever really thought about it, though? Whenever you pray and just tell God what you're worried about, He takes up your burdens, and when you get done praying, you feel so much better!! Don't ya love it?!
Anyway... just thought I'd post since I have't in a while, and if y'all didn't read my last post coz you're lazy and didn't see this, y'all still need to go to www.hubblesite.org coz it's amazing!! Love y'all!!

| THIS IS A LONG POST, BUT TAKE THE TIME TO READ IT, IT WILL OPEN YOUR EYES TO SOMETHING AMAZING ABOUT GOD!!
Okay, so Passion '06 concluded yesterday (sadly), and it was freakin' AMAZING!! God is SO great!! I learned so much there! For those of you who have never been, Passion '07 is going to be around the same time next year in Atlanta, and I highly recommend it! There were 18,000 Christian college students at the GEC over a period of 4 days. The difference between this conference and others I've been to when I was in high school? Everyone was there because they WANTED to be. That was what made it so amazing. At one point I looked up from worshiping and every hand in the place (18,000 x 2, coz everyone has 2 hands) had to be up worshiping our God!! OMGoodness!!
Something else amazing.... our universe (not our solor system, but the universe) is absolutely huge! I mean, there are galaxies 130 million miles from earth. In order to get the time it would take to travel there you must multiply 130 million x 5.88 trillion!! Y'all calculate that and get back to me.... but out of that huge, unfathomable universe, the God who created it, who breathed it into existence, only placed humans on what was described to me as "a mode of dust suspended in a sunbeam." Then, he decided to send His son through the universe from Heaven to earth to live among us and to DIE for US!! But why? Because He loves us THAT much! If you think of it like this, you have Heaven (humongous I'm guessing), the universe (unfathomably large), our galaxy (still pretty big), our solar system (relatively small compared to everything else I've mentioned), little pea sized earth, and then us. We are TINY in the big scheme of things! I mean, a grain of sand, tiny! And God is butt crazy wild about each and every one of us. That's amazing love! Now, after thinking about all that, think about these things....
"Amazing love, how can it be? That you my king would die for? Amazing love, I know it's true, it's my joy to honor you."
"Indescribable, unchangeable, you placed the stars int he sky and you know tem by name, you are amazing, God. Incomprable, all powerful, YOU KNOW THE DEPTHS OF MY HEART AND YOU LOVE ME THE SAME, you are amazing, God."
After thinking about all that, it gives those two songs new meaning, huh? I urge everyone to go to www.hubblesite.org and go to galary, and search for The Whirlpool Galaxy. First look at one of the first pics of the whole thing, then go down to "X" structure in the center of galaxy... it will amaze you! What the hubble spacecraft found in the center of this amazing galaxy is even more amazing. It will take your breath away! | | |
